Shivendra is a Director in the Systems Medicine group at AstraZeneca. He brings 15 years of experience providing computational solutions across cardiovascular physiology, metabolism, and neuroscience. An interdisciplinary scientist, he specializes in applying biochemical, biophysical, and biomechanical principles to build mechanistic models of complex biological systems. He leverages AI/ML to derive mechanistic insights from multi-omics data. Prior to joining AZ, he served as Scientific Director for the US Department of Defense. He holds a PhD from NIT, Bhopal, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and NYU.
