Dr. Weirong Wang is a Senior Director and Leader of QSP in the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Department at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM). Her team applies QSP and mechanism-based PK/PD modeling to support J&J’s clinical portfolio across multiple therapeutic areas.
With over 20 years of experience in the discovery and development of biotherapeutics, Dr. Wang has led multiple groups focused on the development and application of mechanistic and physiologically based models. She received her B.S. from Fudan University in China and her Ph.D. from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Since joining JNJ in 2011, Dr. Wang has contributed to numerous programs and cross-functional initiatives. Prior to J&J, she held roles at Merck & Co. and the biotech company CuraGen Corp. She has authored or co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts, reviews and book chapters.
