Senior Scientist, Quantitative Systems Pharmacology
Moderna, Inc.
Kenji Miyazawa, PhD, is a Senior Scientist in Quantitative Systems Pharmacology QSP at Moderna Therapeutics. He specializes in developing PBPK-QSP models to advance the design and optimization of mRNA-LNP therapeutics. His work spans multiple therapeutic areas, including infectious diseases, rare diseases, and oncology. Currently, his research focuses on expanding PBPK-QSP models to incorporate multiple routes of administration and broadening their applications to other modalities, such as viral dynamics, the cancer immunity cycle, T-cell engager therapeutics, and protein replacement therapies.
Kenji earned his MS and PhD in Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, where his research focused on mathematical modeling of the blood coagulation pathway. He also holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
