Yan Xu, MD, PhD, FCP, is a seasoned drug development leader with nearly 20 years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry. An MD/PhD trained with expertise in clinical pharmacology, translational medicine, and model-informed drug development (MIDD), she has successfully advanced assets from FIH to POC and global market authorizatio across diverse modalities including mAb/BsAb, small molecules, ASO/siRNA, and CAR-T. Her work spans immunology, oncology, infectious diseases, and more recently, neurology and rare diseases. Dr. Xu has led cross-functional teams and played key roles in governance, driving scientific and business alignment. She is a strong believer in the power of science and an advocate for innovation and adaptability. Dr. Xu holds an MD (Peking University), a PhD (Rutgers University; Pharmaceutical Sciences), and an MS (University of Maryland, Pharmacometrics). She has served leadership roles in professional societies including ISoP (committee chair) and ACCP (Board of regents) and on the editorial boards of JCP, CTS, and JPS.
